Pastor
Robert Apps has served as pastor of Open Door since July 2013.
His responsibilities include the regular preaching and teaching of the Word, together with overseeing the church’s ministries. Robert holds an M.A. in Biblical Studies and also lectures regularly in Bible College ministry.
Robert is married to Katie, an accomplished music teacher. Katie is involved in organising our church music program and assists with women’s ministries. They have three children and live in Melton West.
Deacons
Steve Court
Steve and his wife Linda serve God by serving others at Open Door and in their local community.
Steve is also our treasurer. For many years, the Court’s have hosted our popular monthly Seniors ministry.
Justin Macdonald
Justin and his wife Nicole, organise and lead our Friday Night Explorers Kids Club, an exciting time of games and Bible lessons for children in Melton.
Justin serves in many aspects of practical ministry at Open Door.
Brendan Hocking
Brendan and his family have been faithfully serving the Lord at Open Door since the 1990’s, After Bible College training, Brendan was pastor of the Church for many years.
Brendan serves in the Music and Youth Ministries and preaches from time to time. His wife Deah and adult children also serve in so many ways.
